Greetings!
Today I played the new Experimental 1.18 Snapshot.
I went down quite a bit at some point and discovered an enormous Cave with most of its floor being covered in a sea of lava.
Whilst this was really cool, it looked like a cheaper version of the old pre-1.16 Nether.
So I had an idea:
Could you make the world-generation sprinkle in some netherrack or other red and nether related materials around those lava-lakes? Maybe even some glowstone and quartz.
This would make the gigantic caves with lava floor look way more appealing and refined, whilst also adding to the new aspect of "strategical mining" (and caving)
Upon digging a blind tunnel, we could find some netherrack (or similar) and by following the direction in which it gradually becomes denser and denser, we may come across an Underground Lava-Sea.
This would not only enable us to strategicaly mine towards those caves but also enable us to strategically avoid them (since just hitting them like that can be disasterous)
