/locatebiome command should also give you the Y coordinate for biomes.

With the introduction of 3D biomes in both 1.16 (in the Nether) and 1.17/1.18, the /locatebiome command should also give you the Y coordinate of the biome you are looking for. This would not only enhance its functionality, but it would allow players to better test and give feedback quicker so they don't have to search or go into spectator mode to experience what they are looking for.

When any given slice of the overworld can have 3+ biomes, this change would be very appropriate.
