I think the oak and birch forests are probably the least interesting biomes when they are very big and I would like to see that change.
First of all, we should add seasons that will change the look of the forests. For example, we would have snow in the winter, flowers in the spring and the fall would make the leaves yellow and brown.
I think that they should also be improved to make it easier to move around on horseback without having the leaves constantly in the way. For this, I had the idea to have a random generation of paths through the forest, but that do not go in a straight line. These paths could connect one village to another or just cross the biome and they will not have dead ends and will have bridges over lakes and rivers.
However, the Pillager patrols will also use these roads, so you have to be careful (otherwise it's too easy). In the rest of the forest, there should be more tall grass to reduce visibility.
Finally, I think there should also be more Pillager structures along the roads I'm talking about. They wouldn't be outposts but rather small villages in the forest. But I'm not going to talk too much about that, otherwise it would be more like the Pillager update.
So here's what I think could improve the large forests: seasons, forest roads/land paths, and make the forest a little bit more dangerous outside of those roads.
