Amethyst Shard Uses: and Absorbing Curses and Refracting Enchantments

Currently, amethyst shards don’t have much of a purpose outside of the telescope, this would give it a use in enchanting/trading and QoL. I propose that amethyst shards should be able to be put in and an anvil, with any item with a curse and the shard would absorb it. The curse would be off the tool and on the shard, it could be used in an anvil with an item that didn’t have a curse and would curse it, allowing you to remove/transfer curses. The second use I am proposing is that you could put an enchanted, with out a curse, and a clean shard, and it would give you a stronger enchantment, enchantments not usually all obtainable, like Unbreaking 4, Efficiency 6, etc. but after an amount of time the refraction would wear off and the item would go back to its normal enchanted state. I feel like this would give use to amethyst shards and improve enchanting in Minecraft.
