Horse Update

So, I wanna start by just thanking anyone for taking the time to read this. I've had a few ideas for the Horse mob an update, because lets admit, as the game stands they are currently an afterthought for a lot of players, it can be difficult to get saddles (with that said it is also easier than ever to), and Horses are also just flatly inferior to traveling your world with an Elytra.

So how would I give horses an upgrade? well I think fine tuning them for combat would be a good idea by introducing the Lance (Or Javelin) as a feature. A weapon that does bonus damage on a horse! Some might ask how we can differentiate it further from the sword and trident also, so I would suggest giving it longer reach than a sword and a trident but make it weaker than both of the items if you are not mounted while using it. Perhaps there could be a Dismounting Enchantment you can use on it to knock players off their own horses.

as for traveling your world with Horses, I would suggest giving them Speed boosts on Path blocks, it makes sense that a horse would have an easier time traveling on a paved path than on unstable ground. 

Then finally I would suggest making Saddles craftable, though I can understand the appeal in keeping  them rewards for slaying Pillager beasts, treasures in temples and villager trades exclusively.

    I second the idea of making saddles craftable. While I understand their purpose as a treasure item, I think it would be better for the game as a whole if we just replaced them something else in chests. Leather's only purpose is to make books outside of item frames so making saddles craftable would give it another, much needed use. Also, horse armor should be enchantable.
