Noise caves and aquifers have made caving so much more interesting due to their region-based variance, but there is one thing that has somehow become more boring from the new cave generation: Cave carvers. Cave carver generation used to partially rely on location, but this feature was removed in the new cave generation, making cave carvers generate absolutely everywhere.
The frequency of cave carvers should be noise-based. There should be some regions where cave carvers create sprawling caverns, while other regions have no cave carvers at all, leaving pristine noise caves. This would look so much better than cave carvers constantly cutting into noise caves no matter where you go, and it would allow us to enjoy both the aesthetic of a perfect noise cave and a chaotic nexus of small caverns. Ravines should also generate more frequently in some regions than in others.
