Next-Gen Minecraft: AI Upscaling for Bedrock and Sunsetting Java Edition

I am writing this because I truly love Minecraft, but I feel the game is stuck between the past and the future. Currently, development is split between two versions, which prevents us from achieving true cross-platform unity. I believe it is time to sunset Java Edition and focus all resources on Bedrock to turn it into a single, high-tech platform for everyone. On devices like the iPhone 17 Pro Max, we finally see stunning graphics through "Vibrant Visuals," which looks like real mobile RTX, but due to a lack of optimization, the performance drops to 15 FPS. This is disappointing because modern Apple chips have powerful neural processors that are currently sitting idle. I propose that Mojang implement native support for AI upscaling technologies, such as MetalFX for iOS and DLSS for Windows. If the game uses AI for frame generation and upscaling, we will get a stable 60 FPS with gorgeous visuals, including reflections and soft lighting. Moving away from Java Edition would free up massive resources for the team to make Bedrock truly perfect by adding all the missing features and neural network technologies. We all want to play in one huge ecosystem without boundaries between PC and mobile, and using the power of AI is the only way to make Minecraft a future-proof game that doesn't lag on the most powerful hardware available today.

    This would be extremely detrimental to the community and cause the game to lose massive amounts of players. Not only do the majority of Java players view Bedrock as flawed, but AI is a very controversial thing, with more people speaking against the use of AI for creative purposes (like making a game) than those who actually support it. Bedrock's graphics aren't the thing that players don't like about the version, and implementing AI features would only add to the mound of complaints. It would eliminate the game's creative community, dropping the version that supports player made content (you have to have a registered company to publish content on the marketplace) while simultaneously shoving AI in their faces.
