yes, there NEEDS to be an option. even when I have blocked microsoft from my card transactions, it still passes it by retrying as not "Microsoft", but "Microsoft store". there is no way to block marketplace on my account in minecraft. scam.

Completely agree too! But unfortunately I fear we are fighting a futile battle here.

It appears everywhere—on the menu screen, during world creation, and in the changing room—so for someone like me who prefers the vanilla experience, this is a problem.
Also, I'm sorry to hear about your daughter.

Kind of disgusted that there are no optional controls/restrictions for the Marketplace (and also for the featured servers). Especially since the marketplace is as flashy as a slot machine, when it's not featuring something inappropriate for younger kids.

It's not like I leave my 6yo son alone for hours, but I'm also not going to sit over his shoulder and monitor everything he does when he's allowed free time on his tablet.

We need to get some basic account settings/parental controls, like:
    1) remove extra graphics from menu (no more pictures on the marketplace buttons)
    2) restrict marketplace to show free content only
    3) make marketplace require a pin/password to enter, or do what many kids apps do and have an option for a math problem (like 17-5) that they need to type in to unlock it.
    4) allow the marketplace to be locked entirely, and all buttons/links to it be hidden.

And while you're at it, do the same for the public servers.

It'd be nice to get more controls, but we're never going to get them because it makes Microsoft too much money.
