This suggestion applies specifically to Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
The command system in Java Edition has evolved into a powerful and flexible toolset that enables advanced technical creations, detailed data manipulation, complex logic systems, and highly customizable gameplay.
In comparison, Bedrock Edition still has important limitations. Although improvements have been made, many advanced mechanics available in Java are simplified, restricted, or unavailable in Bedrock. This creates a clear technical gap between editions.
Areas that need improvement include:
More advanced execute functionality.
Expanded selector arguments and filtering.
Greater access to entity and block data.
More flexible score and data handling.
Improved conditional logic and command chaining depth.
The Bedrock command community is large and innovative despite these limits. However, the current system restricts what creators can realistically achieve.
We are not asking to remove Bedrock’s performance focus or cross-platform design. We are asking for deeper investment in expanding its command capabilities so creators can have more freedom and better parity with Java Edition.
Strengthening the Bedrock command system would support technical creators, encourage long-term engagement, reduce edition disparity, and show stronger support for the Bedrock community.
Bedrock players want to build more complex systems. Please consider giving the command community the tools it needs to grow.
