Minecraft Bedrock Edition promotes cross-play and unity between platforms, but console players (PlayStation and Xbox) are currently limited to only featured servers.
Mobile and Windows players can freely add any server IP and port. Console players cannot. This creates an unfair difference between platforms that are supposed to share the same Bedrock experience.
Because of this limitation, many players are forced to use third-party apps or complicated DNS methods just to join their friends’ servers. This is inconvenient, confusing for younger players, and not officially supported.
Allowing PlayStation and Xbox players to manually add servers would:
• Make the game fair and equal across all Bedrock platforms
• Improve player freedom and creativity
• Strengthen community servers
• Reduce the need for unofficial workarounds
• Make cross-platform truly consistent Minecraft is about freedom and creativity. Console players deserve the same server access as everyone else.
Thank you for considering this improvement.
