The void touched and voided status effects from Minecraft Dungeons should come to the base game as hazards and a small buff to the Ender Dragon. Void Touched would multiply all damage inflicted to the player, and could stack up as long as it is applied.
Void Touched would be applied whenever the player falls into the void, whenever the player touches a new void block/liquid, and whenever the player stands in dragon's breath. The effect would be multiplied at a different speed depending on what source produced the effect.
This effect shouldn't be in the player's typical arsenal, no potions or arrows--instead only used by collecting the void liquid from the outer End island via bucket. This dark purple liquid wouldn't act like any other in the game, a single source block would slowly spread 4 blocks, and only Ender mobs can enter it without being slowed down or afflicted. Standing in void fluid increases void touched by 1 each second, and will deal half a heart of damage. Source blocks of this fluid are the size of a normal block like powdered snow, and slow the player down like lava. Void touched applied by this liquid would only last 3 seconds each, while dragon's breath would apply it for 5 seconds each.
More simplistic suggestion, any ideas are appreciated. I had this idea a few months ago but I forgot some of the specifics. I think it was more about different damage types, if I remember I'll update this.
