Better control of copper weathering/oxidation

I suggest a means of increasing the copper weathering/oxidation rate/state via a potion brewed with rotten potatoes.  We can control/lock in/stop further weathering & oxidation of the copper state with wax, and remove levels of weathering/oxidation utilizing axes... but have no means of increasing the oxidative state other than exposure and random time duration... Having a means to increase/change the level of weathering/oxidation via some mechanic seems like a nice additive feature to me.  I think an acidic compound that might be found in rotten potatoes could be a viable mechanism for increasing the oxidation of copper, and having to brew a potion would make it a non trivial method of control.
