I wanted to add: there aren't enough new pots in which to plant flowers that would fit two blocks (peonies, roses, sunflowers). Perhaps these pots made from nether shards would be perfect.

I feel like the trees would be better as withered bones with slight cyanish soul accents, similar to how warped and crimson trees look. There could also be withered wart blocks and new withering vines, which require both floor and ceiling. The game also needs green wood, so that could be the inside.

Yes, the game really lacks a green tint, but I think it could be realized with a "weeping willow" in the swamp.
Black wood (or blue-black) like charred trees, perhaps a biome: an island with a cooled volcano, where everything around is scorched.
But dark gray is perfect for the Soul Valley biome. It's not a forest, but solitary trees, with minimal foliage or no foliage at all in the traditional sense. A tree that cries, a tree with souls.

I like the archeology addition. The brush is currently only useful in the Overworld and I think adding more suspicious blocks is a good way to expand its usefulness.
