This update adds rare colored crystals (not ores) found in specific dimensions and biomes. Each crystal has a unique name, rarity, and can only be mined with diamond or netherite pickaxes. Crystals come in three sizes and act as colored light sources, with larger crystals emitting stronger light. Examples: Infernal Crystals (red/orange/yellow) – Nether biomes; Prismatic Crystals (turquoise) – deep oceans near monuments; Void Crystals (black/purple) – under End islands (rarest); Bronze Crystals – near Trial Chambers; other crystals spawn in overworld biomes like mountains and caves.
Crystals can be combined with obsidian to create Color Obsidian, used to build same-color portals linking only to each other (two required). After rain, there’s a 20% chance a rainbow appears. After defeating the Ender Dragon, a Unicorn can spawn at the rainbow’s end. It has wings, can double-jump to glide, needs no saddle, and has high health. Its Rainbow Crystal horn can be harvested using Netherite Shears. The horn regrows when fed red-to-purple crystals, with a chance per feed.
The Unicorn drops Rainbow Dust, which can craft Glossom Rainbow Crystals (animated, color-shifting light) by combining regular Rainbow Crystals with Rainbow Dust. Dust can breed animals into randomly colored variants. All crystals (not just rainbow-related) can color and trim diamond/netherite tools, armor, horse armor, and trims, replacing ores as the trim material.
This update adds exploration, progression, and magic.
