Just like how compasses work with lodestones, I think clocks should work with daylight sensors. Here is my ideas:
If you press a daylight sensor with a clock in hand, it will set it to only send a redstone signal at that time every day. However, if you press it a second time, then it creates a range of time send the signal.
For example, if you press once it at noon then the daylight sensor send a redstone signal every day at noon. If later you press the sensor at dawn then the sensor will send the signal from noon to dawn.
Inverting the daylight sensor send the signal at the opposite time of when it should so in the example above it would be on all the time except at noon.
Now here comes the interesting part. If the daylight sensor is sending a redstone signal then the clock linked will acquire a red dot in the middle to let us know it is sending that signal so it's like a notification that the daylight sensor is working. Additionally, if we right click with the clock in hand, then it stops the redstone signal.
