Programmer Art / Resource Pack Customization Menu

I really like a lot of the new baby mob models, but there are some that I'm not a huge fan of. Right now, my only option to keep the models I like is to have a mod and a custom made resource pack that only changes the models I don't like. It would be nice if old baby mob models could be included in the programmer art resource pack and changes made by the resource pack could be toggled.
