I am writing to request a reconsideration of the recent change to Note Block particle colors in Bedrock Edition to match Java Edition.
Previously, Bedrock Edition used unique, high-contrast colors for each note. This provided a significant advantage: players could identify the exact pitch at a glance, even without musical training. The new gradient-based colors are too subtle, making it nearly impossible to distinguish between adjacent notes visually.
This change negatively impacts the game in three ways:
Accessibility: For players who rely on visual cues rather than auditory ones, the old color system was a vital tool. The new system removes this accessibility feature.
Visual Clarity: The distinct color coding made "seeing" the music intuitive. The current gradients are aesthetically pleasing but lose this functional clarity.
Building Efficiency: When creating complex music circuits, the old colors acted as a visual guide for debugging. Now, players must manually trigger every block to verify the pitch, significantly slowing down the creative process.
Proposed Solutions:
Revert Note Block particles to the original Bedrock Edition colors.
Add a toggle in the Accessibility settings to choose between "High Contrast (Legacy)" and "Gradient (Modern)" particles.
Thank you for your time and for making Minecraft better for everyone.
