Many features in the game are becoming easier for new users
For Minecraft veterans, this seems like a deterioration in the gameplay
But for some, the game actually becomes more challenging (new combat & generation)
I propose creating 4 game modes:
- Creative
- Casual
Uses a simplified combat system (1.8)
Not much different from modern survivalWill help players try the game for the first timeAll complications from the following modes are absentAfter mastering the game, the player can upgrade their world to survival, and also return to it
- Survival
A mode with hunger, thirst, & temperatureThe player doesn't know what enchantments and potions they've picked up until they use themMake it harder to obtain diamond and netherite items (Now, after finding iron, everyone goes for diamonds)Change trading with villagers (currently, you can buy a full diamond armor set and tools from them, which doesn't match the name of this game)Skeletons and Withers could be improved (like in Bedrock)If the world was created starting with this mode, the player cannot downgrade the world to Casual modeThe player can upgrade the world to Hardcore, but this will be permanent (mark such a world as Survival → Hardcore)
- Hardcore
Is a mode where cheats can't be enabled (to change game modes, especially after death)Totems are harder to obtain (modern Hardcore is just for hype, and lacks any sense of difficulty)The world difficulty will be HardThis will make the player genuinely happy to survive another day
