I know that for a few years I’ve been seeing people say they want renewable sand and so do I! So, I’ve got an idea that could be pretty achievable without going to far out there.
Sea Cucumbers. Small ocean creatures that can be bread -using algae that can be gotten via fishing with a fishing rod- for automated renewable sand farms. This would include the addition of a “food” block it can interact with. Much like how sheep eat the grass off of a grass block to produce more wool. Sea cucumbers could eat off of a “Fertilized Sand Block” a new sand variation with organic plant matter, and shell or scute bits that regrow with ticks just like grass when fully submerged in water.
The sea cucumbers can then go through a short time frame of digestion before pooping out a clean sand block and rarely a turtle scute.
This would be able to be automated using hoppers and chests under the sea cucumbers which can in turn be used to fully automate the creation of glass and other sand variants
