end look too old

The End has been in the game for a long time and the last major updated was in 2016, the game has change so much since 10 years. After you beaten the dragon, getting an elytra is cool and all but the terrain outside of the dragon fight are just islands that are bland. The end being a lifeless place is a great characteristic to the end but how it's shown to an end island looks too empty. For me, I want it to be a lifeless ecosystem with no life going through it, just endermen walking around. Flying through the end with my elytra feel boring as nothing is blocking my way. Comparing how I feel flying in the overworld or the nether has kept me more interested for the crazy things I will find. The end is not being visited that much than the nether, changing the end can make it being used more than farms or getting an elytra. As now the end just look so empty and needed a update to it.
