I was just thinking about making decorations like tables, counters, chairs, window seats, etc. and I asked my friend, "wouldn't be more aesthetically pleasing if my couch wasn't flush to my window sill? Or if my tables and countertops weren't the same block heights? And they look overly chunky with slab thickness, and look flimsy and are noisy if you use a pressure plate.
We know it's possible to break down the size of Minecraft blocks with the mod known as Chisels and Bits, I'm not asking for something to that extreme, because it's not feasibly manageable to expect players of various skill levels to piece together 100*100*100 different pieces. Although decoratively awesome ideas are possible by mixing and matching different block materials. Something to a more manageable scale like 1/4 or 1/16 would ramp up player creativity and not take away from the classic premise of the game.
