Squirrels as a new mob

Squirrels make nests in trees, storing nuts (another new item) in their nests. Maybe there’s a marker on a tree like a darker hole where the squirrels’ nest is. You can collect the nuts from their nests as food for yourself. Being a protein food, maybe it will keep you full longer than fruits or vegetables would. Squirrels may also hang out in the trees and pelt nuts as you if they see you robbing their nest. They can’t really be tamed, but they aren’t aggressive unless you take their food. Maybe squirrel nests will once in a while contain other objects, whether it’s more common items like leads or rarer items like emeralds. The squirrels themselves can also be a source of food.

    Seems like a decent concept, but you should be able to tame them so they can get nuts from trees for you.
