The Minecraft sky needs active predators to balance the ecosystem and add "Natural Literacy" to survival.
1. Golden Eagle (Highlands)
Habitat: Peaks and Snowy Slopes.
Diet: Hunts foxes, rabbits, baby goats, and sheep.
Hunting: Uses "Snatch and Drop" — picks up mobs and drops them from heights to kill. Players must build roofs to protect livestock in the mountains.
2. Forest Hawk (Woodlands)
Habitat: Forests and Plains.
Diet: Targets chickens, parrots, and baby turtles.
Hunting: High-speed dive-bombs from tree canopies. Forces players to build enclosed coops.
3. Lifecycle: Nests & Breeding
Nesting: Eagles build stick nests on cliffs; Hawks build them in tall tree leaves.
Eggs: Parents lay 1-2 physical eggs in the nest. They become extremely territorial and attack anyone approaching.
Hatching: After 3-5 days, eggs hatch into chicks.
Growth: Chicks must be fed by parents (or players) until they grow into adults and fly off.
Why it works:
This adds a realistic biological cycle. Players must respect predator territories and plan their farms strategically against aerial threats. It transforms the sky from empty space into a living, dangerous environment.
