You should also be able to place down the clock as a placed block.

I feel like it would be cool if an unset clock would just output a signal related to the current time. The more daylight there is, the stronger the signal. And maybe set clocks can output a signal strength relative to how close the time is the the saved time? maybe a set clock would glow like a lodestone compass.

An excellent idea! More uses for a relatively useless item!

This is a great idea! Clocks have generally been neglected for some time now, so this would be a great addition which would prove to be much more customizable and in depth compared to the daylight sensor.

This concept sounds pretty good! It would be a really interesting implementation for technical redstone players but hard to implement in the code.

Like, "If the player right-clicks while... the Clock would save the current in-game time." How would it work? (In terms of redstone and other blocks like observer and light sensor).

If a day consists of 24 thousand ticks and there are 15 levels of redstone, it would result in 1.6 emission "levels." You could round the numbers in between (e.g., 12,300 / 12,800 ==> 12 / 13).

But even if the 1.6 wasn't a problem, there is another issue: where would 0 levels for redstone be considered? The beginning of the day? At sunrise? And how would it react, or could react, with other blocks to make mechanisms that involve "time"? I imagine one that could have some kind of interaction with the light sensor. Somehow you could "connect them" so that when the sun reaches the time that the clock has, it would emit a signal according to the clock.

There should also be a way to unset the clock so you can use it normally.

I think the alarm system is a good idea; however, I don't think that the day/night cycle idea is a good one as it completely useless-ifys daylight sensor

Subject: Bedrock Skeletons and Netherite armor issues
"Dear Mojang, please fix Bedrock! Skeletons are like snipers (Aimbot), they give us 'Headshots' even on Easy mode. We lose half our health with one arrow! Also, Netherite armor looks like ugly cow skin. We want it to be shiny or let us use Diamond trims to make it stronger! Please make skeletons weaker (max 2 hearts damage). We are tired of dying in our own base. Fix the doors too, we need to breathe underwater! Help us!

Actually very useful! Could it be used with the daylight sensor?

And also, what if the clock could be used to create timers as well? If it can make alarms, then timers are the next evolution.

Could you not have it so the clock emits a redstone pulse in different directions at different time intervals of the day?  Then it would function as a basic timer where you orientate it within your redstone system depending on when you want your contraption to activate. You could combine it with a daylight sensor through a comparator for further sophisticated timing settings.

Hi Mojang team! I'm a Java player and I would love to see a built-in Mod/Addon management system in the main menu, similar to how Minecraft Bedrock works.

Currently, to enable or disable a mod, we have to manually open the 'mods' folder and move files around. It would be much easier and more accessible if we could simply toggle them on or off with a switch inside the game's UI. This would improve the experience for everyone, especially for those of us who enjoy customizing our gameplay with community content. Thanks for everything!"

I relive it could have uses for clock towers, If this is added you can make a large clock tower that actually works, More accurately a bell tower.

I don't know, it seems like anything that can do, the daylight sensor can do better. I still like the idea of improving the clock though.
