I would like to suggest a small expansion to the Clock that reuses existing mechanics and adds creative redstone possibilities:
1. Saving a Time on the Clock
If the player right-clicks while pointing the Clock at the Sun or the Moon,
the Clock would save the current in-game time.
This would be a simple interaction, similar to other right-click item uses.
2. Redstone Signal via Item Frame
When the Clock is placed inside an Item Frame,
it could emit a Redstone signal at the moment the saved time is reached.
The signal could be short (a pulse), similar to a Redstone clock or observer output.
This would allow players to:
- Create alarms or “wake-up” systems
- Trigger lights at sunset or sunrise
- Activate farms or doors at specific times
- Build time-based redstone contraptions without complex setups
These changes:
- Reuse existing systems (Clock, Item Frame, Redstone, day/night cycle)
- Add depth without adding new blocks
- Keep the feature optional and intuitive
- Encourage creative and technical builds
