Currently, Golems are very limited (Iron for defense, Snow for distraction). I propose a new "Golem Core" mechanic that allows players to build small, passive utility golems using specific resources that currently lack diverse uses.
How it works:
Instead of building a 'T' shape, players craft a "Golem Core" (using Amethyst Shards + Redstone + Gold). You place this core into different block structures to create small helpers:
1. The Copper Courier (Copper Blocks): A small golem that picks up loose items on the ground within a chunk and deposits them into the nearest hopper/chest designated by the player. It oxidizes over time, slowing down until cleaned with an axe.
2. The Amethyst Sentry (Amethyst Blocks): It does not attack. Instead, it emits a specific musical note (and a Redstone signal) depending on what type of mob is nearby (Hostile vs. Passive). Perfect for base security systems without ugly walls.
3. The Tuff Luggage (Tuff + Chest): A sturdy little golem that follows the player like a pet but carries a single double-chest worth of items. It creates a bridge between the inventory problem and shulker boxes in the early-mid game.
Why this fits Vanilla:
It solves the "useless copper" problem, expands Redstone creativity without being too technical, and makes the world feel more magical and alive without adding modern technology.
