Players often spend years building their worlds, but simple changes to the version can often lead to irreversible corruption of the entire world, as older versions don't recognize data for newer blocks, mobs, or items, resulting in all your hard work being lost due to missing data.
To solve the problem, I suggest implementing a Global Asset Fallback System along with an Extra Content Menu.
The Global Asset Fallback System would allow older versions of the game to access a shared database of basic block, mob, and item data, ensuring that newer content would render properly in older versions, rather than being completely deleted and risking corrupting the world.
The Extra Content Menu will preserve the original experience, the latest blocks, mobs, and items will not longer appear naturally in the world or in survival mode, they will only be available in the extra menu for those who want to switch versions but still interact with the latest content without compromising the game's balance.
