Empty desert

In places with very low humidity values, there should be less flowers and bushes. I know some deserts have plants and stuff, but I've also seen pictures of deserts that are completely empty except for sand. I kind of miss the "cleaner" looking deserts, and I also miss rare biomes that are rare for no reason.
