I suggest adding Rosehip bushes to the game. These plants are unique because their berries are not edible raw, but they can be used to brew a special tea that provides unique benefits.
Key Features:
Habitat: Rosehips grow in Plains, Forests, and Birch Forests. They look like tall, woody bushes (1-2 blocks high) with beautiful pink or white flowers in spring and red berries in autumn.
Thorny Defense: Just like Blackberries, Rosehip bushes have sharp thorns. They deal damage and slow down any player or mob that tries to walk through them. This makes them a great choice for a "living fence."
Harvesting: Right-clicking gives you 2-3 Rosehips. If you try to eat them raw, the player gets a brief "Nausea" or "Hunger" effect (because of the irritating hairs inside the fruit in real life).
The Main Feature — Rosehip Tea:
To make it, you need to combine a Glass Bottle, a Rosehip, and a Bucket of Water (or brew it in a Cauldron).
Effect: Drinking Rosehip Tea provides Regeneration I for a short time and removes the "Freezing" effect (very useful when exploring snowy mountains or powdered snow).
Decoration: Rosehip bushes can be sheared and placed in flower pots.
Why it fits:
It adds a new use for glass bottles and cauldrons, and introduces a realistic "herbal medicine" mechanic. It’s a perfect plant for players who love "cottagecore" building and survivalists who need to stay warm in cold biomes.
