I suggest improving lake biomes to make them more realistic and atmospheric. Lakes should be full of life, with new birds and dense vegetation.
1. New Wildlife:
Ducks and Mallards: Passive birds that swim on the water surface. They can dive for short periods to catch small fish. They drop Soft Feathers, used for making high-quality pillows or beds.
Cranes: Tall, elegant birds that stand in shallow water. They are shy and will fly away if a player runs toward them. They hunt frogs and small fish.
2. New Vegetation:
Tall Watergrass (Sedge): A new 2-block high plant that grows in the water near the shore.
Feature: Cranes use this tall grass to hide and build their nests. Players can walk through it, but it slows movement, making it a perfect hiding spot for small mobs.
3. Visual Improvements:
Schools of Fish: Instead of single fish, small lakes should have visible "schools" of tiny decorative fish.
Algae: Green patches on the water surface that make the lake look older and more natural.
Why add this?
Currently, lakes feel like "puddles" between biomes. Adding ducks, cranes, and tall grass will turn them into beautiful locations for bases and birdwatching, adding much-needed atmosphere to the game.
