I suggest adding the Macaque to the game. These monkeys are known for their intelligence and ability to survive in various environments, from tropical Jungles to cold Mountain biomes.
1. Appearance and Variants:
Jungle Macaque: Has shorter, brownish fur.
Mountain Macaque: Has thicker, greyish fur to survive in colder altitudes (similar to the Japanese Snow Monkey).
2. Unique Behavior: Social Groups
Macaques live in large, organized groups. They can be seen grooming each other (this could be a cute idle animation). They are bold and less shy than ocelots, often approaching players to see if they have food.
3. Interactive Mechanics:
The "Gift" System: If you feed a Macaque Apples or Papaya, it might follow you for a short time. Occasionally, it will find and bring you useful items like Sugar Cane, Seeds, or even Glow Berries found in nearby caves.
Swimming: Unlike many other mobs, Macaques are excellent swimmers. They can be seen diving into water to catch fish or just to cool off.
4. Food and Breeding:
They are omnivores. You can breed them using Fruit (Pineapple, Papaya, Mango). They also have a special interaction with Hot Springs (if the player builds a pool with magma blocks underground) — they will sit in the warm water during rain or snow.
