Turnips: The Ultimate Winter Storage Crop and Fodder

 

I suggest adding Turnips to Minecraft. This crop is designed for long-term survival strategy, focusing on cold-resistance and unique storage mechanics.

Key Features:

Cold Climate Specialist: Turnips grow best in cold biomes. Unlike other crops, they do not freeze or stop growing when exposed to light snow, making them essential for mountain or tundra bases.

Cellar Storage Mechanic: Fully grown Turnips can be left in the ground indefinitely without rotting. In fact, leaving them in the soil during winter increases their "Saturation" value, simulating realistic cold-storage (clamping).

Dual Use:

Player Food: High-fiber vegetable that can be eaten raw or boiled in a bowl for a hearty winter soup.

Animal Fodder: High-efficiency breeding food for Sheep and Pigs, providing more "offspring XP" than carrots.

    But crops Can be left in the ground indefinitely, and food doesn’t rot: unless you count rotten flesh, but that is already rotten when dropped
