Tools on the body

Inspired by a Minecraft Java Edition mod, YDM's Weapon Master allows you to have weapons and tools on your character's body when you don't have them selected.

Why not add this to a new combat update for Minecraft Java?

Simple (swords go on the left hip, pickaxe goes on the back, axe on the right hip, shovel also goes on the right hip, hoe on the back or left hip, shield on the back, trident on the back).

With that been said, here's my idea for you.
