I suggest adding a new sub-biome called the Peat Bog. This would be a more dangerous and foggy version of the standard swamp, but with high rewards for players.
Peat Blocks: The ground consists of "Peat" blocks. When harvested, they provide a new type of organic fuel.
Fuel Mechanics: Dried peat can be used in furnaces. It lasts longer than wood but slightly less than coal, making it an excellent early-game fuel source.
Hazardous Terrain: Some peat blocks could act like "Quicksand" (similar to Powder Snow), where players slowly sink if they aren't careful.
Ancient Remains: Since peat preserves things in real life, there is a small chance to find preserved wooden structures (like old boats) inside the bog layers.
Atmosphere: This biome should have a brownish water tint and constant low-level
fog.
