PROBLEM:
Nothing is more disrupting to game immersion than partially cut floating trees remaining in place.
SOLUTION:
When a naturally generated tree log is chopped (from any part of the tree), it should immediately change the state of all associated logs from that tree to "chopped down."
Then, all associated logs from that tree should begin to decay, just like leaves do from existing trees that have all their logs removed.
ALTERNATE SOLUTION:
Just make the treecapitator mod (or similar) part of vanilla. While It's not as ideal as the first solution, ANYTHING is better than the eye sore of floating partial trees and the leaf islands that hang in the air around them.
I want to point out that this is the ONLY issue that causes me to consider whether or not to continue playing Minecraft. There are other tree-felling suggestions out there but, several of them suggest replacing unchopped trees with mobs or some such. I just want a simple fix. Thank you!
