A (partially) afk fish farm

Basically since a lot of players would rather not have to do as much work in order to get things done, I propose a fish trap, craft-able using three bamboo, two string, and a copper trapdoor, it will be as big as a full block but see through, and traps fish every 5-10 minutes. The trap activates with a snapping sound and will show a 2d model of the item that you can see from the top like a campfire almost, it stacks only up to 16 fish per trap (4 that you can see) , with the ability to possibly catch rarer items like enchanted books, and nautilus shells depending on bait. It also has a required area of being surrounded by full water sources on every side except one. To not make it fully afk you need to place bait every-time ranging from rotten flesh, glow berries, sweet berries, or spider eyes. I think it would be great because It helps get an achievement like plethora of cats much easier with the ability to have something fishing for you.
