The original Caves & Cliffs update was very ambitious, and with the current Game Drop system, a Caves & Cliffs 2.0 update could be delivered in multiple parts. Splitting it into 3 or even 4 Game Drops would allow each feature to be polished and released without rushing.
Main idea:
- New cave biomes released across multiple Game Drops
- More underground structures added over time
- New cave-exclusive mobs introduced gradually
- More reasons to explore mountains
- Expanded world height and depth (higher than Y=319 and deeper than Y=-64)
- A new stone type found only below Y=-64 (for example, Abyssal Stone), with unique uses
- The deeper or higher the player goes, the higher the risk and the better the rewards
Why add this:
Delivering Caves & Cliffs 2.0 through several Game Drops would keep players engaged over time while allowing deeper caves, taller mountains, and new progression systems to be added in a stable and polished way. This would improve endgame exploration and expand one of Minecraft’s most important updates.💡
