Hey everyone,
Is it just me, or is it kind of a pain that Green Dye is still tied exclusively to smelting cactus?
Right now, if you want to make anything green, you’re basically forced to go on a massive scavenger hunt. Unless you get lucky and find a Desert, a Badlands, or a Desert Village, you’re stuck hoping for an Igloo or a Trial Chamber chest. If you happen to build your base in a Snowy Grove or a Meadow, you could be traveling thousands of blocks just to get a single green bed.
It’s a bit weird because Minecraft already uses "color theory" logic for other dyes. We can mix Red and Yellow to get Orange, or Red and Blue to get Purple. Why is Green the odd one out?
My suggestion:
Let us mix Blue Dye and Yellow Dye in a crafting table to get Green Dye.
It’s super intuitive—pretty much everyone learns that Blue + Yellow = Green in kindergarten. It wouldn't even break the game or make Cacti useless! Cacti would still be the best way to farm green dye in bulk (and for XP), but for those of us who just need a couple of green wool blocks for a build, being able to use the flowers nearby would be a huge quality-of-life win.
