I would like to suggest an update to Minecraft’s magic system, taking advantage of possible future improvements to the combat system. The main idea is to introduce a new attribute called “Magic”, which would be consumed when using enchantments and magical effects, instead of using hunger or working entirely passively.
Currently, for example, the Lunge (Spear) enchantment consumes hunger. Having a dedicated magic attribute would make the system more consistent, balanced, and intuitive.
This update could include:
A Magic attribute (similar to health or hunger)
Stronger enchantments consuming more Magic
Rebalancing and adjustments to existing enchantments
New potions that regenerate Magic
Visual updates to enchantment books and potions
Simple conceptual examples:
Fire Aspect (Sword – Level I/II)
Consumes 1/2 Magic point(s) when hitting an enemy, causing burn damage for a few seconds.
Infinity (Bow – Level I)
Consumes 1 Magic point per shot instead of arrows.
If Magic runs out, it starts consuming arrows normally.
This change would add more depth to the enchantment system, allow better balancing, and open space for new magical mechanics in the game.
