This is several topics(NPC, Blocks, and Biome)
Many players, including myself, have grown tired of the basic rowboats. To improve early-game transportation, introducing larger, upgradable boats would be a game-changer. You’d begin with a standard rowboat recipe with redstone added in to craft the new boat. From there, you can add blocks onto it or new sails(3 banners for small sail, 6 for medium, and 9 for a big sail) that can be added to harness wind, you could also remove the oars, install a wheel, or add costly motors, you could even attach new functional blocks like fishing nets for passive catches, lantern poles for night travel, and new storage crates for extended journeys. Oceans gain dynamic waves and weather, with whirlpools and storms threatening your vessel. If your boat takes on too much water, it sinks—so keep those buckets handy!(does not apply to normal rowboats). The seas have also come alive with ghostly zombie pirates at night, if you’re carrying a lot or have chests on your vessel they may ram you or board your boats to steal loot, better watch out they have swords! Upon defeating the zombie pirate they may drop a map to buried treasure, a shipwreck, or an ocean monument. They may also drop their sword or a spyglass. However, their ship cannot be boarded. But there’s balance: friendly NPC fishermen and traders appear by day, offering goods or maps to buried treasure, shipwrecks, or ocean monuments.
