I know you want to give Minecraft a new look, and I respect that. I also know there are people who like the new look.
But you're making a big mistake. You're acting as if players who have been playing this game for over a decade and love the old art style have suddenly disappeared. That's why there's so much backlash against your new art style.
If you want this new style to be accepted by players, you must also show respect to those who love the old style.
All you need to do is provide a method that allows us to revert to the old art style. It shouldn't be that difficult. This could be done by PROPERLY updating the Programmer Art package, or it could be done with a setting specifically for this purpose.
The reason I say update it properly is that all updates to Programmer Art are lazy transfers. Deepslate mines still appear in their new form in this pack, instead of madeing it from start with old style. You didn't even bother to make such a simple change.
Minecraft is a game entirely about freedom. Then, why are you forcing everyone to see the new art style?
