With the new 26W02A snapshot (1.21.12), baby mobs are extremely cute and feel more like companions than resources.
However, current AI still allows baby wolves and adult wolves to attack baby animals (sheep, pigs, etc.), and zombies also target baby mobs.
This feels wrong both emotionally and from a gameplay perspective:
Baby mobs drop no loot
Baby mobs give no XP
They are clearly designed to feel vulnerable, friendly, and lovable
Suggested improvements:
Baby wolves should be playful only (no hunting behavior)
Adult wolves should ignore baby animals
Hostile mobs should not target baby animals
Additional idea (very important):
In 1.21.12, please add a special name tag like “Do Not Grow Up”
When applied, the mob stays a baby forever
Perfect for pets, builds, farms, and roleplay
Fits the new cute models perfectly and gives players more creative control
This would greatly improve immersion, emotional connection, and gameplay consistency with the new baby mob designs.
