The new baby mobs are low effort

I like that baby mobs are getting some attention and that they're getting updated but this whole update feels like it's focused entirely on the cuteness aspect rather than just making actual baby mobs. A baby chick being just a cube with a beak and every baby mob being so small is good for making them cute, yes but would absolutely suck to try to find them in the wild, to leash them, to attack them, and the texture resolution, not having the white and black eyes that every other mob does(except chicken) makes them stick out like a sore thumb when you actually do put them side to side with actual mobs. To me they make me feel like I'm using a simplistic resource pack that only applies to baby mobs for some reason.
