Hi! I propose an expansion to Minecraft’s agriculture that adds depth to the farming loop. My idea introduces Earthworms—a new resource that turns basic farming into a more rewarding, multi-stage process.
1. Finding Earthworms:
Earthworms would be a rare drop when tilling Grass or Dirt. To make it more interactive, players can use a Copper Rod. Placing it in the ground and hitting it with a tool (or a Redstone signal) creates vibrations that lure Earthworms to the surface as collectible items.
2. Aerated Soil & Benefits:
Right-clicking Farmland with an Earthworm creates Aerated Soil.
Growth Boost: Crops grow significantly faster on this soil.
Hydration: Aerated Soil stays hydrated longer without a direct water source.
Visuals: It has a richer, darker texture, perfect for players using high-end shaders and animation packs.
Redstone: Dispensers can apply worms to fields, allowing for advanced, automated "Super-Farms."
3. Expanded Botany:
The update would include new Fruit Trees (e.g., Apple or Pear variants). These trees would produce higher yields only when planted on Aerated Soil, encouraging players to collect worms to maintain their orchards.
Conclusion:
This feature rewards exploration and planning. It’s perfect for players who love the "quiet life" in Minecraft, while providing technical players with new mechanics to optimize.
