Hello Why not give players the ability to create an ocean map dotted with islands? Each island could represent a distinct terrestrial biome. This could be combined with a more challenging and immersive survival mode, allowing players to experience temperature variations and the need for hydration. It would be a kind of hardcore mode, but with the possibility of resurrection if the player has a specific item in their inventory. This item would be obtained through looting, not crafting.
To make survival more challenging, players should be prevented from breaking wood blocks with their bare hands, but still be able to craft an axe by finding branches... by breaking leaf blocks or dead bushes. No wooden axes or pickaxes! Instead, they should use flint or flat shells. And the first leather loot should be used to craft flasks for hydration. For hydration, coconuts should be implemented, and therefore: coconut trees should be added to beach and jungle biomes. New weapon: the knife. It's crafted with one unit of stick and one unit of flint. And it can be used for basic farming, such as more easily breaking leaf blocks (though less effectively than a hoe), collecting shells from shell rocks, and breaking grass (not the grass block itself) to obtain fiber and wheat seeds.
There you go. What do you think? (Moderators, please tell me by email what works and what doesn't, rather than leaving me in the dark!)
