Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

new ore

A new ore in Minecraft would be an amazing thing. I would like to propose a ruby ore, I do know it used to be in Minecraft. This could add ruby tools and armor, since rubies are not as hard as diamonds in real life, it would not be in Minecraft. This would be an amazing red armor and tools, but my favorite part would be you can trim armor with it. I know you can trim with redstone, but this could have a dark red almost blood red trim. This item could be crafted into a block that could look like a red emerald block, the ruby it self would also look like a dark red emerald!

    Missed potential. I would suggest to add other uses related to its hardness maybe for crafting recipes or its tools. Could also give less armor than diamond but have more armor toughness and the tools could have more speed or enchantability but less damage and durability, like an alternative to diamond that's not as good but has its own advantages to compensate. Also it probably shouldn't give a dark red color for armor trims but a pinkish-red or purplish-red instead.
