Storm Caller is a rare enchantment that lets players summon a thunderstorm when hitting a hostile mob or player with a trident that already has Channeling — but only if it’s already raining. This makes Channeling more useful and adds a strategic layer to weather-based combat.
How it works:
• Only applies to tridents that already have Channeling
• If it’s raining and you hit a hostile mob or player (melee or thrown), the rain turns into a thunderstorm
• Once the storm starts, Channeling works as usual, allowing lightning strikes
• Optional cooldown (e.g. 60 seconds) to prevent overuse
• Incompatible with Riptide
How to obtain:
• Rare fishing treasure
• Found in new ocean monument chests
• Very rarely dropped by drowned with tridents
Why it’s a great addition:
• Makes Channeling more practical without removing its weather-based identity
• Adds depth to trident combat and mob farming
• Encourages exploration of ocean monuments
• Fits the mythical, storm-wielding theme of tridents
Example: It starts raining. You strike a mob with your Storm Caller trident — the sky darkens, thunder crashes, and lightning rains down. You’ve turned the weather into a weapon.
