Minecraft doesn’t have seasons, but its biomes do. The cherry blossom forest is always blooming, like an eternal spring. Therefore, I believe an autumn forest would be a welcome addition. It would feature maples, oaks, and birches as its main vegetation. As a new animal, it would have the squirrel, which climbs trees and eats acorns (nuts dropped from autumnal oak leaves). When defeated, it can drop a squirrel foot, useful for brewing a climbing potion.
Stripping a maple log makes it drip sap. A cauldron placed underneath collects it. Using a glass bottle, the sap can be taken and used to craft a sap block (similar to slime or honey blocks) or cooked into edible syrup.
The new structure would be the Autumn Cabin: made of wood decorated with hay bales, containing a bed, crafting table, smoker, and a chest. The chest would contain: wheat, apples, pies (pumpkin or apple), mutton, acorns, the smithing template "Autumn Trim" (with a maple leaf pattern), and rarely a squirrel foot.
It's a flexible idea with room for adjustments, but I believe it would be a great addition to Minecraft.
