Being able to play with ur device friends who don't have microsoft account

We should bring back being able to play with your console /device friends that don't have a microsoft account even if it's back for a limited time bc i wont be able to play with my friend in years because of this, so i just wanted this so I can see their microsoft username and friend them (<--why I'm okay with limited time) especially if other people are experiencing the same thing this is a good request. Thx
