Bolas grapplin hook

Happy New Year. For my bolas idea, the bolas could be used as a disposable leash (a kind of lasso), a grappling hook, and a ranged weapon. You could spin it to throw it: the more you spin it, the farther it goes, and depending on the distance it travels, it would deal more damage, ranging from half a heart to two hearts. The entity that gets hit would be sort of “leashed” and would therefore take damage, and it could be pulled back like with a fishing rod by right-clicking. If you want to remove the bolas without pulling the entity back, you need to crouch, and you would retrieve your bolas. If you throw it at a block and all of its faces are free (not necessarily the top and bottom), by holding right-click and jumping quickly and repeatedly, you would reach that block.
